1. Who we are
1.1. This website is operated by Bakehood (“we”, “us”, “our”). We provide an online platform that connects independent home bakers (“Bakers”) with customers who wish to order baked goods (“Customers”).
1.2. We operate in England only. Our services and these Terms are intended for users located in England.

1.4. If you are a Baker, additional terms may apply to you (for example, a Seller or Baker Agreement). If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Baker Agreement, the Baker Agreement will take priority for Bakers.
2. About these Terms
2.1. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, platform and services (“Services”), whether as a visitor, Customer or Baker.
2.2. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
2.3. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use means you accept the revised Terms.
3. What Bakehood does (and doesn’t do)
3.1. Bakehood is a marketplace connecting Bakers and Customers.
3.2. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Bakehood is not the seller of baked goods. The contract is directly between Customer and Baker.
3.3. We may facilitate payment processing and collect platform fees or commission.
3.4. We do not:
- Manufacture, store or deliver baked goods
- Guarantee that any Baker will accept an order
- Guarantee product quality, safety, or legality
3.5. Bakers are expected to comply with UK food safety and hygiene laws.
4. Registration and accounts
4.1. Some services require account creation with accurate information.
4.2. You are responsible for account security.
4.3. You must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate information
- Not share your account
4.4. We may suspend accounts for breach or abuse.
5. Placing orders (Customers)
5.1. Orders are offers to buy from Bakers and may be accepted or rejected.
5.2. Customers must check product details, allergens, delivery time, and contact data.
5.3. Prices are set by Bakers and may include delivery or platform fees.
5.4. Payment is processed through our payment provider.
5.5. Basket additions are requests only — charges occur after Baker acceptance.
6. Baker responsibilities
6.1. Bakers confirm compliance with UK food regulations and licensing.
6.2. Bakers are responsible for:
- Product quality and safety
- Order fulfilment
- Legal and tax compliance
- VAT registration where required
6.3. Illegal or unsafe items are prohibited.
7. Delivery, collection and risk
7.1. Delivery options may include:
- Customer collection
- Baker delivery
- Third-party courier
7.2. Delivery times are estimates only.
7.3. Risk passes upon delivery or collection.
7.4. Issues after delivery should be raised with the Baker (we may assist).
8. Cancellations, returns and refunds
8.1. Perishable goods may limit statutory cancellation rights.

8.3. Complaints are reviewed individually for refund or replacement where appropriate.
8.4. Consumer legal rights are unaffected.
9. Acceptable use
9.1. You must not use the platform for unlawful or abusive purposes.
- No harassment or harmful behavior
- No false or defamatory content
- No off-platform payment circumvention
9.2. Breaches may result in suspension or removal.
10. Intellectual property
10.1. Bakehood owns platform intellectual property.
10.2. You may not copy or use branding without permission.
10.3. Bakers grant licence to display uploaded content.
11. Our liability
11.1. Liability is not excluded where unlawful.
11.2. We are not responsible for Baker or courier actions.
11.3. Liability limits:
- Bakers — fees paid in prior 6 months
- Customers — value of relevant order
12. Governing law
12.1. Governed by England and Wales law.
12.2. Courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
